Victory Base Council is located at the Baghdad Airport. The Council has a program for boys and girls of all ages which follows the ideals of Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. Unlike our troop, the volunteers and scouts vary from week to week due to scheduling.
Home Depot and Lowe's have donated approximately 100 wooden craft kits along with safety goggles, aprons, certificates, pins, and patches to the Iraqi scouts. Mr. Gleed, who some of you met at the Burchfield Nature Center has asked our troop to facilitate the delivery of the materials to Iraq. He expressed his heartfelt thanks to Troop 325 for agreeing.
Thank you to those of you who wrote letters to the scouts. The leaders have interpreters read the letters to the scouts.. Due to the language barrier, we will not get letters back from the scouts. Every so often we will ask for more letters. Electronic letters are preferred so we can email them.
