It’s time to sell Popcorn!    Here is your popcorn check list
Selling Goal for each scout is $800.00
  • 30% of your total sales is put in your scout account (if you sell $800, this is $240.00, which is enough to pay for summer camp in 2011)
  • 3% of your total sales- goes into the troop account (this helps pay for advancements)
  • Added Bonus of 2% will go into the scout account IF- the troop grows overall unit sales by 10% over 2009.  So for 2010 the Troop must sell $15,000 in popcorn. Yes we can do this!
GNFC Bonus Incentives:
  • Sell $600 in popcorn and receive a Marshmallow Crossbow, in addition to your prize level gift.
  • Fill a sheet drawings held every Monday. Once you fill an order form fax to 891-4008, or give to Mrs. Lazarus.  This includes popcorn sold during show and sell. Each week a prizes are given away by GNFC.
  • By filling out 1 form you will receive an invitation to a UB Scout Day Sport  Clinic and 2 tickets to a Men’s Basketball Game.
  • Sell $1,500+ in popcorn and get an additional $50 gift card, in additional to the prize level gift.
  • Sell $2,500+ in popcorn and receive 6% of your total sales in a scholarship fund, in addition to the prize level gift.
  • Sell $3,000+ in popcorn and get an additional $250 gift card, in additional to the prize level gift.

Troop 325 Bonus Incentives:
  • For each troop meeting in September (15th and 29th) and October (13th and 27th) we will be tracking the progress of your popcorn sales.  This will include sales during show and sell events held by the troop.
  • For each $100 that is sold you will receive an entry into a drawing that will be held during each troop meeting. There will be 4 drawings.   Weeks #1, #2, #4 will be a $25.00 Gift Card from Dicks. Week #3 will be a drawing for a Marshmallow Crossbow.
  • So from August 28th to Sept 15, if you sell $400, you will receive 4 chances at the $25.00 Gift Card.  At the next troop meeting,  we will track your progress from the last meeting and for each $100 in sales you will get an entry into the drawing.   We will do this for the October meetings also.  Don’t worry, if you don’t win during week #1 you still have a chance to win during week #2, week #3 and week #4. Your tickets will accumulate each week.  So get out early and sell.  
  • Note: Only 1 gift card per scout
Important Dates:
  • August 28th- Begin to take orders and participate in troop Show and Sell Events
  • October 25th- Return any show and sell products not sold to Mrs. Lazarus, along with money collected for products sold during show and sell
  • November 1st- all Take Order forms due to Mrs. Lazarus
  • November 19,20- Take Order products will be ready to distribute
  • December 1st- All popcorn money is due to Mrs. Lazarus
Upcoming Show and Sell Dates:
  • Tuesday, August 31st and Wednesday, September 1st- Door to door sales blitz.  We will meet at Annunciation Church. Time: 6:30-8PM
  • Saturday, September 25th - Valu Transit Rd and  TBA
  • Saturday, October 16th - Valu Transit Rd and  Alden State Bank (Broadway/Bowen)

P.S. Always carry dog biscuits in your pocket for those barking dogs, but make sure you ask the owner first if the dog can have one.
