If a scout has a physical or mental disability that prevents him from completing advancement requirements as stated, he has the opportunity to complete alternate requirements for rank or alternate merit badges for Eagle. This condition must be documented and approval given prior to the scout doing any alternate requirements. The scout must also attempt to complete all requirements as written before seeking an alternate requirement. A parent who feels this applies to his/her son should speak to the Troop Advancement Chairperson.
